Bracelets of the Day - No.2

Another Bracelet of the Day post for you all, hope you like them! I have been really getting into the summer brights and pastels that have been bombarding the shops recently, however, I live in Scotland and it is currently raining. So I think that wearing some bright bracelets is all the colour I am going to be seeing for a while.

I am in love with the bracelet on the far left and it is from a fellow blogger, Fleur de Force. She has an amazing website with a shop which sells simple yet beautiful jewellery. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

Lip of the Day - Chance by Chanel

When I made my first Rouge Coco Shine purchase, I knew it wouldn't be the last. The formulation of these lipsticks is incredible - they are so moisturising and glossy. Yes, they are expensive but whilst in duty free, I decided to pick another one up.

After much deliberation at the Chanel counter, I decided to go for Chance (56). I loved the baby pink, immaturity of it but I also thought it would be perfect for spring!

As pastels are massive for spring/summer, I expect I will be wearing this beautiful shade all the time. Last Chanel purchase - I promise!

Product Love - Bobbi Brown Corrector

It's not often that I repurchase a product, so when I do, I know it must be good. After struggling with dark circles under my eyes for a couple of years and trying various concealers and creams to combat them, I was at a bit of a loss. But when Bobbi Brown came out with a "corrector" - something fairly new to the beauty market - I knew I had to try it. It has been about a year since I bought my first Corrector (little pot of magic) from Bobbi Brown and it has not left my makeup bag once.

It has a beautiful creamy consistency and I have never known it to crease, providing that I set it with a powder and it instantly brightens up my under eye. Due to the pink tone of the product, it "corrects" any blue tones under the eye, leaving me looking much more awake!

without corrector - pretty scary!

I could rave on about this amazing product all day and I could not recommend it enough!

Duty Free Haul!

I recently came back from a lovely skiing holiday in Courchevel (France) and whilst in duty free, I decided to stock up on boring necessities like foundation and powder. Unfortuately, a few things crept into my basket without me realising ...

l-r  clinique almost powder makeup in neutral fair, chanel coco rouge shine in 56 chance, chanel poudre universelle in 22 rose clair, chanel vitalumiere aqua in 10 beige

Yes, a Chanel lipstick appeared in my basket but as I was going to France, I thought it was rather appropriate.

Bracelets of the Day - No.1

I just thought I would share a jewellery combination that I have been loving recently. I would say that bracelets are my favourite way too accessorise - I find them so easy to wear and I love to layer them. Also, I have been obsessed with the cross trend that has been around for a while but I have always been too scared to go all out with a cross embellished dress! Therefore, I think that incorporating some crosses into my jewellery is a safe compromise.

I have bought quite a few jewellery pieces recently so if you would like to see them, please leave a comment.

L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Review

As a big fan of L'Oreal mascaras, when Cheryl Cole popped onto the TV fluttering her eyelashes, I got rather excited. I love the original Telescopic mascara and the promise of a "false lash effect" was too good to resist.

The packaging is very similar to the original Telescopic, however, it is silver instead of a matte gold. I much prefer the new packaging. The main difference is the brush, the original is very thin with small plastic bristles, whereas the new version tapers into the middle. This makes it much easier to use and I find much more volumising and curling.

The effect that the new brush gives is incredible, my lashes were so voluminous and curled. The original mascara is much more defining and lengthening but I absolutely love the new one!

To be honest, both of these mascaras are amazing, it really depends on what you are looking for when buying a new one. I personally prefer the False Lash Telescopic because I love my lashes to look dramatic but the original is still very good. I got it from Boots for £10.99 - a bit pricey for a drugstore mascara but completely "worth it".
